Our Desired Outcomes

1.     To provide children in our communities with a safe and welcoming environment to engage in play.  In school, they are taught the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise.  A new playground will provide them with the proper setting to practice what they are being taught in school and foster in them a love for physical activity and healthy living that they will hopefully adopt for a lifetime.

2.     To encourage and foster the relationships of the children who attend Holy Family Elementary School.  During school, they are given an opportunity to blend and build relationships while learning together.  This new playground will provide a fun setting where the children can play, learn and strengthen their relationships.  Without such an environment, children from neighbouring communities are isolated from each other and become less likely to build long-lasting friendships.

3.     To demonstrate to the people in the communities, that will benefit from this endeavour, the power of community and what can be achieved when people unite for the greater good of the children.  Hopefully, this playground will act as a catalyst and spark a fire in all people to participate and contribute in future endeavours which may be needed to improve our communities.

4.     To create a place where both young and old can congregate.  A playground is an integral part of a community and it is where children and families laugh, play, communicate and form lasting relationships.
